Centre-line radius of 3× or 5× nominal diameter. The most common long radius bends — lower pressure drop than elbows, suited to compact pipeline and station layouts.
Large-radius bends for very smooth flow and minimal turbulence. Standard for cross-country transmission pipelines and pig-launching sections.
Radius, ovality and wall thinning controlled so inspection and cleaning pigs pass without snagging. Essential for pipeline pig runs.
Formed by localised induction heating and controlled bending, followed by heat treatment. Best dimensional control and metallurgy for heavy-wall and alloy pipe.
Cold bending for smaller diameters and thinner walls where hot forming is not required. Economical for utility and moderate-service piping.
Non-standard angles, radii and tangent lengths to drawing, including fabricated mitre bends for large diameters. Made to your isometric.

Use a standard elbow (1.0D or 1.5D) for compact direction changes at a fixed radius. Use a long radius bend (3D–10D) where you need lower pressure drop, reduced turbulence, or a piggable geometry for pipeline inspection and cleaning. Always state the required radius (e.g. 5D), bend angle, tangent lengths and whether the line is piggable in your RFQ.
