EN 10253-2 Type B buttweld pipe fittings in 1.0473 — P275NH normalised weldable carbon steel. The "NH" designation indicates normalised heat treatment condition and high weldability. 275 MPa minimum yield with excellent notch toughness. Unlike the "GH" pressure grades optimised for elevated temperature service, P275NH is the standard choice for piping systems operating at or near ambient temperature where structural strength and weldability are the primary requirements.
Glühend Hochtemperatur — designed for elevated-temperature pressure service. Alloy chemistry and grain size optimised for creep and oxidation resistance at 300–400°C. The primary choice for boiler, steam, and hot process piping.
Normalised + High weldability — optimised for ambient-temperature structural and pressure piping. Lower carbon equivalent ensures easier welding without preheat on thinner wall. Not the first choice for sustained elevated temperature service.
