Low-carbon 316 — corrosion resistant, weldable without sensitisation. Universal specification for European chemical, pharma and food projects.
Ti-stabilised 316 — resists sensitisation up to 550°C. Specified in German engineering contracts where 1.4404 may not be accepted.
Low-carbon 304. General purpose austenitic stainless — food, water treatment, cryogenic applications. No Mo — lower corrosion resistance than 316L.
Ti-stabilised 304. Resists sensitisation in the 425–850°C range. Used where post-weld heat treatment is not possible in the 304 sensitisation range.
High-alloy austenitic with 25% Ni, 4.5% Mo, Cu. Exceptional sulphuric acid resistance across all concentrations. Pulp & paper, phosphoric acid.
6% Mo super-austenitic. Outstanding pitting and crevice resistance (PRE ≥43). Seawater, FGD scrubbers, bleach solutions.
22Cr duplex — twice the yield strength of 316L with similar corrosion resistance. Offshore, desalination, pulp & paper, heat exchangers. PRE ≥35.
25Cr super duplex — exceptional seawater and chloride resistance. Subsea manifolds, deep-sea pipework, sour gas injection, desalination brine. PRE ≥40.
