Specify P235GH for EU PED-regulated projects. Lower C max (0.16%) vs ASTM WPB. EN 10253-1. EN 10204 3.1 mandatory. Not freely interchangeable with WPB without project approval.

Higher yield than WPB

Higher minimum yield (275 MPa vs 240 MPa for WPB). Used when higher pressure rating is needed from the same fitting size. EN equivalent: P265GH (1.0425).

LNG · Cryogenic carbon steel

to −50°C

Normalised carbon steel with Charpy impact testing to -50°C. Required for LNG liquefaction plants and low-temperature process units where SS is not specified.

Normalised, fine-grain carbon steel. Charpy impact tested at -46°C. Used for propylene refrigeration, LPG storage, CO₂ systems, cold-climate outdoor piping.

3.5% Ni steel — Charpy tested at -101°C. Propylene and ethylene cryogenic service. Alternative to SS where cost is a driver. Available on request with extended lead time.
